Aellan Choo
Achieved Platinum Achiever Status in Just 2 Years After Joining JLD
Aellan Choo was a regional channel distribution manager with an American MNC in the Kitchen and Bath industry, earning five figures monthly. However, he made a career switch to real estate after his role was made redundant due to organization structure, when he was 38 years old and with two young daughters aged 3 and 1. Aellan had always been interested in real estate, and it was his brother who encouraged him to pursue this passion.
Aellan got acquainted with Jasmine Lau from JLD years ago when he engaged her to facilitate the paperwork for his own resale flat. Impressed by her professionalism and expertise, he joined JLD in 2018.

Joshua Tay
Earned $53K in commissions in just 6 months
Joshua had accumulated real estate skills and knowledge while employed as a commercial property agent for MNCs and property developers for about 10 years. Despite the income stability, he was getting disillusioned with corporate life and had always wanted to be self-reliant.
However, it was only fairly recently that he felt emotionally ready to take the plunge. That’s when he met Jasmine. Out of all the people he met, Jasmine was the only one he had chemistry with. It was at this moment he knew he had found a good leader.

Colleen Tan
Earned $46K in commissions in her first 3 months as a new RES
Colleen Tan was a senior engineer in the oil and gas industry before joining JLD. However, due to family commitments, she needed time flexibility and decided to pursue a career in real estate.
She joined a friend who was already in JLD after passing her RES exam and was welcomed into the JLD family.
Results
- Joined JLD in 2021 and quickly made an impact by joining the projects & EC core team.
- Earned $46K in her first three months as a new RES, completing three successful resale transactions.

Celia Seow
From Zero Sales to 48 Transactions Closed Over the Past 3 Years
Celia was previously a finance lead in the advertising industry and a CPA holder. After taking a break from work following the birth of her second child, she decided to pursue her interest in real estate by taking the RES course and exam.
Results
- Despite her previous training, Celia was unable to close any projects in her previous agency.
- Closed 3 luxury tagging projects in 2022 alone
- Since then, she has closed 48 transactions over the past 3 years, with 50% of them in new launches, and earned a total of 380K in commissions.
Jasmine has always been a very caring, inspirational & dynamic leader who is a true businesswoman herself. Nellie Law
Earned $60,000 in commissions in her first year with JLD
Nellie held a comfortable Associate Manager position at a publicly listed top developer, drawing a 6-figure per annum gross. However, with the onset of Covid-19, the developer’s RCR and OCR stock was bottoming, and Nellie’s career hit a snag. Unable to showcase their property portfolio online or over Zoom due to the company’s lack of tech-readiness, Nellie felt a total standstill in her career.
With 11 years of experience in the industry and has sold close to 200 properties, Nellie decided to join PropNex as a RES and met Jack Sheo, who later introduced her to Jasmine Lau.

At the start, I felt lost and overwhelmed. With 11 years of experience under my belt, I thought I knew it all, but transitioning into unchartered territory was not easy. My first year as a real estate agent was particularly challenging. JLD’s weekly Zoom meetings were a great help and kept me going. Jasmine, my leader, would offer help and even do one-to-one consultations with me. She also linked me up with useful information, training, news articles, hacks, and tricks. I also really appreciated Jack’s quick response to any calls or questions I had.
From my leaders, I learned to “socialize” on FB and other multimedia platforms. I was selected to do a video marketing for Canninghill Piers based on a past and beautiful memory of the Singapore River. From the video, I caught the interest of a potential buyer who subsequently engaged me to sell his Bukit Timah unit and buy a new launch in the same area. With this, I achieved my Platinum Award.
Darrel Mok
Doubled His Annual Income After Joining JLD
Darrel is a single dad who joined the real estate industry in 2013. Previously, Darrel was running a retail business. But he wanted to find a career that allowed him to work from home so that he could manage both his children and business effectively at the same time. After spending five years in his previous agency, he felt stagnant and a need to earn a more sustainable income. That was when Benny Chng approached him to join JLD and, from there, he was introduced to Jasmine Lau.
Results
- Earned less than $100,000 a year closing resale and rental transactions in his previous agency
- After joining JLD, his annual income crossed more than $100,000 in the second year
- Has achieved more than $250,000 annual income to date
I used to believe that the agency we work for does not play a significant role in our success. I thought it was all about our individual effort. However, after I joined JLD, I realized that the agency does make a difference. The kind of training, business opportunities, and tools that I now have access to have made a considerable impact on my performance. I learned how to sell new launch projects and do asset progression for my clients during my time at Propnex. My first project experience was at Treasure @ Tampines, where I gained valuable knowledge and skills from the project leaders who were very willing to impart their expertise. Although I did not meet my own expectations in that project, it was a good starting point for me to venture into this new business segment.
With my new skill set, I became an elite EC Tagger. My first new launch sale was made by inviting my customer to attend the Consume Education Seminar conducted by Kelvin Fong. Jasmine Lau has helped me with my business plan and also provided guidance on specific cases. Additionally, JLD members have been very supportive, and I am grateful to be part of this team.
